On the 24 th November 2023 the Directorate of Accounts of Treasuries,
Meghalaya under the Finance Department, Government of Meghalaya in collaboration
with the National Informatics Centre, Shillong received an award as Winners from the
Council for Social & Digital Development and the Digital Empowerment Foundation
for the Pensioners Life Certificate Verification Mobile Application for the Best
Digital Innovation in Sustainable Health Development in the category of Government
& Citizen Engagement in the 8 th eNortheast Awards 2023 held at the Royal Global
University, Guwahati. Shri B.L. Nonglait, MFS, Director of Accounts and Treasuries,
Meghalaya along with representative of the NIC, Shillong accepted the award from
Shri Osama Manzar, Convener of the eNorth East 2023 and Founder & Director of
Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF).
The Finance Department, Meghalaya on the 15 th July 2021 had issued the
Office Memorandum for implementation of the Pensioners Life Certification
Verification Mobile App for pensioners developed by the NIC, Shillong for
submission of life certificate at the comfort of their homes. For availing this facility
pensioner would be required to download the Pensioner Life Certificate Verification
Mobile App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and register with the
respective pensioner disbursing authority with the details.
