MISSION RECRUITMENT: EAST KHASI HILLS OFFERS FREE COACHING TO BOOST ARMY ENROLMENT

East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner (DC) RM Kurbah urged the youth of the state to complete the Indian Armed Forces form and informed that a free coaching camp was being initiated for facilitating candidates to prepare for recruitment tests.
While interacting with the media, the DC again said that the intention was to motivate more youth to pursue a career in the armed forces. She encouraged such candidates to join at the DC's office and stated that the coaching would be completely free of cost for 30 to 45 days.
She also added that the DC's office had already received applications from around 40 candidates who wanted to join the coaching camp.
Shanborlang Warjri, Additional Deputy Commissioner Deputy Commissioner of the district spoke that the initiative of the district administration to hold this pre-recruitment training was to enhance the capability of the local youths who are going to sit for the upcoming Common Entrance Exam (CEE). He said that even if most of the youths were fit physically and passed the physical fitness test, rural youths lacked knowledge and means to prepare for the written examination.
Warjri further stated that at the coaching camp, the candidates would be provided with academic guidance, syllabus sheets, and practice on previous year question papers to assist them in enhancing their knowledge and performance.
He further stated that in 2023 when the free coaching program was initiated, approximately 200 youth were coached. Of these, 82 cleared the CEE, and 35 cleared the physical fitness test and got recruited.
He requested interested youngsters to Room No. 319 of the Office of the DC prior to May 15 so that they could be guided accordingly. He notified that the CEE would most likely be held in the last week of June or the first week of July, and the coaching program would give all the support needed to enable candidates to pass both the written and physical tests.
