Media Plus was launched in 1999 and it is the oldest ENGLISH NEWS CHANNEL in Meghalaya. Initially, the news was telecast on a weekly basis but later on, as viewership increased, there was demand for daily telecast of news in English. The channel started off with its daily English News presentation from Mondays to Saturdays. As of today, Media Plus still exists as the ONLY Daily English News Channel in Shillong where news is telecast through various Cable Operators in the city. Based on the viewership demand, it was decided that Media Plus would also go online through YouTube so as to cater to viewers in the state, country, and to people of the state who are now residing in all parts of the globe. We hope to bring to you the latest events and current affairs, features, exclusive stories, talk shows, and discussions so as to bring about an update on what is happening in and around Meghalaya.
