The Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement is gearing up to rally hundreds of members under the leadership of Lamphrangsngi Kharbani, President and few executive members to demonstrate at the national capital, New Delhi, at Jantar Mantar to apprise the central government on wide ranging issues affecting the indigenous people of the State. Among the prominent issues are those which have been voiced by several other pressure groups, like the Inner Line Permit,  inter-state border dispute with Assam, recognition of Khasi and Garo languages in the Eight Schedule of the Constitution of India, besides other pertinent issues regarding employment, education, health care, and other public issues in society.
