The State Youth Wing of the Voice of the People Party (VPP) on Thursday called for the early declaration of the Mid Level Health Provider (MLHP) examination results under the National Health Mission (NHM), citing growing concern among job aspirants.
The issue was raised during a meeting with the Director of Health Services (MCH&FW), Dr. N. E. Kharsahnoh, following complaints from candidates over the delay in the announcement of the 2025 results.

Speaking to the media, VPP State Youth Wing President Marbud Dkhar said the delay has created uncertainty among unemployed youth awaiting the outcome of the examination.

He stated that the Director clarified that while the Directorate of Health Services is responsible for conducting the examination, the declaration of results falls under the purview of the Managing Director of the NHM. The delay, he added, has been attributed to the official being occupied with other responsibilities.

The VPP Youth Wing also questioned the appearance of names of candidates from other communities in the result list, seeking clarification on whether they are genuine residents of Meghalaya or outsiders.

The organisation urged upon the Directorate to take the matter seriously and ensure early declaration of the results, while asserting that it would continue to pursue the issue until clarity is achieved.
