Shillong Lajong's victory at home against title contenders Gokulam Kerala FC.

Shillong Lajong earn their first win of the season by defeating Gokulam Kerala with a 3-1 scoreline.
It was an intense game between the two sides right from the first whistle with Lajong creating the
pressure on Gokulam with a full packed stadium cheering behind their back and it paid off when
they took the lead in the 30th minute through Daniel Gonçalves following a setpiece situation with
a beautiful assist from the captain Hardy Cliff Nongbri . Gokulam fought back and found the
equaliser just before halftime in the 43rd minute scored by Nili Perdomo. It was all square between
the two sides in the halftime.

During the second half Lajong made some changes and kept the pressure on Gokulam and once
more they took the lead through a penalty earned by Phrangki Buam when he was tripped inside
the box and it was scored by Renan Paulino De Souza. Gokulam were trying hard to find the
equaliser but it was Lajong instead who doubled their lead through Hardy Cliff Nongbri in the
stoppage time in the 90+8 minute.
With this result Shillong Lajong now have three draws and a win with 6 points from four matches,
they sit 6th on the table points and they will be looking forward to their next game against Delhi FC
on Wednesday 22nd of November at 2pm at the SSA Stadium, Shillong.
