Addressing this, West Shillong Constituency's MLA, Paul Lyngdoh, clarified to the press that he does not intend to run for candidacy. Instead, he encourages all aspirants within the United Democratic Party to step forward, emphasizing that anyone receiving a ticket must adhere to the party's policies.
