The Joint Action Committee of North Eastern Hills University, Shillong, comprising members from various university bodies such as the North Eastern Hill University Teachers Association, the North Eastern Hill University Students Union, and university staff, has launched a peaceful Non-Cooperation Movement. This movement, which began on October 31 and will continue until November 5, 2023, aims to raise awareness about alleged corrupt and unauthorized activities, as well as violations of University regulations by the Vice Chancellor, P.B. Shukla.
