MEGHALAYA'S FIRST LITERARY PROGRAM HONORS POET LAUREATE U SOSO THAM ON 83RD DEATH ANNIVERSARY

In a historic literary gathering today, on December 18, 2023, at the Community Hall, Jaiaw Shyiap-Lum Pyllon, Shillong, the Dorbar Shnong Jaiaw Pyllun organized a unique program. This event marked the 83rd Death Anniversary of Meghalaya's esteemed poet, U Myllung Soso Tham. Breaking from the tradition of treating this day as a holiday for statewide cleaning drives, it was the first time a program was dedicated to acknowledging U Soso Tham's significant contributions.
