MEGHALAYA CM REVIEWS PROGRESS OF ICCC AT UMSAWLI

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma undertook a comprehensive review of key infrastructure projects in the New Shillong Township on May 8, with a highlight being his visit to the Integrated Command & Control Centre (ICCC) at Umsawli.
Commissioned in November 2024, the ICCC functions as the nerve centre of Shillong’s Smart City initiative. It integrates city-wide surveillance, emergency response coordination, and urban service management into a unified platform, aimed at improving the efficiency and responsiveness of urban governance.
Designed as a state-of-the-art, web-enabled solution, the ICCC facilitates real-time monitoring and collaboration through advanced geospatial display and incident response systems. Its open Application Programming Interface (API) supports seamless integration with various digital platforms and applications, enabling cross-departmental data sharing and decision-making.
Chief Minister Sangma’s visit reaffirmed the government’s strategic focus on harnessing technology and robust infrastructure to strengthen public service delivery and modernize urban management across the state.
