During a visit to Rengmalgre village under the Demdema C&RD Block in West Garo Hills, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma spent a Sunday evening watching local boys play cricket at the village playground. He remarked that the scene brought back memories of his own childhood and highlighted the strong sense of community often seen in rural areas. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of fostering this spirit among the youth and announced that his government would sanction support to help the boys procure sports equipment.
