MBOSE HSSLC 2025 RESULTS DECLARED WITH OVER 82% PASS RATE & FEMALE STUDENTS LEADING ACROSS STREAMS

The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has officially declared the results for the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2025, with an overall pass rate of 82.05%. Students across the state who appeared for the Science, Commerce, and Arts streams can now access their results via the official MBOSE portals.
The results show a steady performance across all streams, with the Science stream recording the highest pass percentage at 82.94%. Arts and Commerce followed closely with pass rates of 82.05% and 81.28%, respectively. The Vocational stream stood out with a pass rate of 85%, reflecting strong outcomes in specialized subjects.
Notably, female students outperformed their male counterparts this year, achieving a pass rate of 89.37%, compared to 84.17% for male students. This trend highlights the growing academic achievement among girls in Meghalaya.
Top performers in each stream were also recognized. In Science, Saptarshi Bhattacharjee secured the top spot with 483 marks. Disha Chokhani led the Commerce stream with 481 marks, while in the Arts stream, Albert Mate and Idawanplishisha Swer shared the top rank, both scoring 455 marks. East Khasi Hills emerged as the district with the highest pass percentage in the Arts stream at 91.18%.
For those dissatisfied with their results, MBOSE has announced provisions for re-evaluation. Students can apply for a recheck for ₹1,500 per subject, with photocopies of answer scripts available for ₹700 each. Supplementary exams for students who failed one or two subjects will be held in July 2025.
This year’s HSSLC results mark a crucial turning point for students in Meghalaya as they move forward with plans for higher education or career pursuits. The consistent academic performance, especially in the face of various challenges, reflects the hard work and resilience of students and educators across the state.
