The Lyngdoh (traditional priest) of Raid Mylliem under the Hima Mylliem, Kyrshon Marbaniang has accused ministers from the San Kur Khatwei Kur clans of misusing their power to halt the community's traditional religious ceremony. He claimed they are wrongly blaming him for the suspension of the ritual.

Speaking to the media on 16 May, 2025, the Lyngdoh stated that the allegations made against him are baseless. He explained that the decision not to perform the religious ritual in 2025 was taken after two meetings of the Raid Mylliem Dorbar held on 9 and 14 April.

He further mentioned that a final decision was to be made on 25 April, 2025. However, unrest broke out before the meeting could begin, preventing it from taking place.

According to him, past Lyngdohs have always led the rituals and convened the Dorbar related to religious affairs. He believes that the current ministers are attempting to weaken the role of the Lyngdoh, obstructing him from performing his duties with the authority traditionally given to his office.

He warned that such interference not only challenges the role of the Lyngdoh but also threatens the cultural and spiritual fabric of the Raid Mylliem community.
