After the Syiem of Hima Mylliem Ainam Manik Syiem presented the certificate to Zube Star Kharbuki on October 13th 2023 designating him as the representative of the Kharbuki clan at the dorbar Of The Syiem of Hima Mylliem, Clan members from Mawpat and Umsning expressed opposition and they have set a deadline from October 18th to the 26th October for the removal of Zube Star Kharbuki from his role as the clan's representative to the darbar of Hima Mylliem failing this the clan members planned to stage a Hunger Strike in front of the a's office at Mawkhar Shillong. It is worth noting that Tiprilang  Kharbuki the president of the karbuki clan had submitted a memorandum opposing this decision to the Syiem on October 9th but it appears to have been disregarded by the dorbae him leader Klinson Kharbuki from Umsning in Ribhoi district and Cornelius Kharbuki from Mawpat Village have also threatened to initiate a protest if Zube Star Kharbuki is not removed from his current position.
