The Synjuk Ki Rangbah Shnong Border Area Raid Nongtung members recently met with the Chief Executive Member of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council to address the concerns regarding the Karbi Anglong Autonomous District Council's impact on farmers in Block 2 along the Meghalaya border. Blik Sohtun, the President of the Synjuk Ki Rangbah Shnong Border Area Raid Nongtung, urged the intervention of the KHADC in response to the KAAC's control over the farming community. The Karbi council had set up five toll gates at Jatalong, Sabuda, Madan Umwang, Umjaknieh, and Mawsladieng, collecting approximately Rs 7000 to 8000 from broomstick and ginger farmers of Raid Nongtung.
