KHADC GEARS UP FOR MONOLITH FESTIVAL, ANNOUNCES TRIBUTES AND UPGRADES AT HERITAGE VILLAGE

In preparation for the upcoming Monolith Festival in December 2023, the Chief Executive Member of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, Pyniaid Sing Syiem, along with Council Chairman Lamphrang Blah and Culture Department Member Victor Rani, inspected the Heritage Village at Mawphlang in East Khasi Hills. During the visit, they observed the restoration of neglected huts. CEM Pyniaid Sing Syiem announced that fallen local soldiers would be honored with showcased memorabilia in the village's Museum. Additionally, separate play areas for girls and boys will be developed. The KHADC Chief expressed gratitude to the state's Tourism Department for supporting the Monolith Festival.
