Shillong, October 30, 2023: The Joint Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, AH & Veterinary Department has informed that in view of the completion of the mandated 45 days since last reported case of infection/death as reported by RRT and as provided in the National Action Plan, the villages below are de-contained from the Control Measures. However, in order to prevent the further spread of African Swine Fever (ASF) disease, the incumbent villages will follow bio-containment, bio-security and preventive measures.

Villages to be de-contained from African Swine Fever (ASF) restrictions are Pig Farm Nongkasen, West Khasi Hills, Medium Farm, Dalu, West Garo Hills and Mawtneng Nongthymmai Kyrdem, Ri Bhoi District.
