The Meghalaya Board of School Education has declared the SSLC Examination Results 2026 today, recording an overall pass percentage of 86.84 percent.

A total of over 48,000 students appeared for the examination, out of which more than 42,000 candidates successfully cleared the exams this year.

Wangaal Lama of St. Edmund’s School, Shillong, secured the first position with 585 marks. Vishal Kumar of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, stood second with 576 marks.

The third position was jointly secured by Prajukta Roy of Auxilium Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and Prinita Das of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, both scoring 575 marks.

The performance of students from leading institutions in Shillong once again highlights the strong academic standards maintained by schools in the state.

The SSLC examination, conducted earlier this year, remains a crucial stepping stone for students moving on to higher secondary education.
