DECADE OF SERVICE RECOGNISED AS SENG KUR KHARPRAN TRANSITIONS TO NEW LEADERSHIP
The Shillong Circle of Seng Kur Kharpran organised a felicitation programme to honour veteran leaders Bringwell Kharpran and Heaving Stone Kharpran for their longstanding service to the clan.
Spokesperson of Synjuk Ki Rangbah Kur, Ka Bri U Hynñiewtrep, R. L. Blah attended as Chief Guest, while Vice President, Aristotle Lyngdoh attended as the Guest of Honour. General Secretary, Raphael Warjri and Executive Member, Wilberth Shylla were also present.
Outgoing President, Bringwell Kharpran was recognised for his decade-long leadership, while outgoing General Secretary and MLA, Heaving Stone Kharpran was acknowledged for his association with the organisation since its inception in 1992.
The two leaders were presented with traditional stoles and mementoes, while the Women's Unit presented a special citation to Heaving Stone Kharpran.
Representatives from different parts of the state attended the programme and conveyed their goodwill. The event also marked the formal handover of responsibilities to the newly appointed office bearers.
Concluding the programme, President R. L. Kharpran urged the new leadership to build on the organisation's legacy and continue working for the welfare and unity of the clan.
