Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Saturday inaugurated the CM Connect Centre at Sohiong C&RD Block and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth over Rs 140 crore at Mawtap Pyllun Ground.

Addressing the gathering, Sangma said eight completed projects worth Rs 5.48 crore had been dedicated to the people, while nine new projects reflected the government's commitment to ensuring development reached every village.

The projects included administrative, education, digital, tourism, road, water supply and irrigation infrastructure.

During the CM Connect programme, residents highlighted issues such as soil erosion, water scarcity, mobile connectivity, crop insurance, market infrastructure and education. The Chief Minister assured that all concerns would be addressed in coordination with the concerned departments.

Cheques were also distributed to village organisations, while sanction orders were handed over to self-help groups.
