In a suspected case of theft, an unidentified man allegedly made away with two iPhones belonging to students residing at a paying guest accommodation in Laitumkhrah during the early hours of Monday.

The incident was reported at around 6:30 am at a Paying Guest facility housed at La Mirage Building, Nongrimmaw, Laitumkhrah, located opposite Ao Baptist Church.

According to CCTV footage accessed in connection with the incident, the suspect was allegedly seen entering the premises without raising suspicion and subsequently leaving with the two mobile phones. The footage reportedly captured the suspect’s movements before he fled the premises.

The theft was subsequently reported to the police, who have registered a case and launched a search operation to identify and apprehend the alleged perpetrator.

Police are expected to examine the CCTV footage and gather further evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
