BSF MEGHALAYA THWARTS INFILTRATION BID, APPREHENDS BANGLADESHI NATIONAL IN EAST KHASI HILLS


On 16th May 2025, in a significant operation underscoring the Border Security Force’s unwavering commitment to national security, BSF troops under the Meghalaya Frontier, acting on specific intelligence, successfully intercepted and apprehended one Bangladeshi national while he was attempting to illegally cross the international border.
During the operation, alert troops of the 4th Battalion detected suspicious movement along the border and promptly acted, leading to the apprehension of a Bangladeshi national, a resident of Pirojpur District, Bangladesh.
He was handed over to the Pynursla Police Station in East Khasi Hills for further legal action.
The BSF remains vigilant and continues to maintain a high level of operational readiness along the Indo-Bangladesh border to ensure the safety and security of the nation.
